3 Day Anzac Tour - ME9E
Introduction: A city tour of Istanbul, exploring the historic sites of what used to be Constantinople will be followed by a drive to Gallipoli. We will visit the battlefield, museum and memorial sites in addition to the dawn service. What should have been a quick campaign at Gallipoli in 1915 became a long drawn out battle and Australians and New Zealanders now mark the 25th of April as their Remembrance Day. The Anzac service is held at dawn, traditionally the favoured time for attack among soldiers.
