Julie Williams says:
Had an awesome time, our tour leader was amazing, we loved him, and our driver and cook. It was so sad to say goodbye. The support with the bikes, trekking etc was excellent, and while one village accom. was very basic, it was what we wanted to experience. Definitely recommend to friends. Hanoi was addictive. Halong Bay was majestic and the kayaking was so much fun, we even spotted some wild monkeys, a definite highlight. Don't let the action part of this tour put you off, we cycled for a few months beforehand a couple of times a week and put in 2-4 gym nights a week and we were absolutely fine. It was great to get out there and amongst it, instead of sitting in a bus. I'd love to go back and see the southern part of Vietnam now. Love the people and the culture, it was fascinating.
Introduction: You don’t have to be an adrenalin junkie to enjoy this trip – a love for the great outdoors and a reasonable level of fitness is enough to enjoy this multi-adventure trip. Vietnam is a country of diverse landscapes and incredible natural beauty – this trip offers a unique way to soak up the many splendours of this land. Meet local villagers as you cycle through northern Vietnam; explore undiscovered bays and caves as you kayak through Halong Bay; experience unique ethnic minority customs as you trek through hilltribes and stay overnight in their traditional huts. This itinerary takes you off the beaten track to discover the real Vietnam and the real culture – unaffected by mass tourism and still unique in natural beauty and local customs. Travelling by bike, kayak and on foot will immerse you into the culture in ways that a bus or car tour cannot. Create your own pace and make your own discoveries!
