We just returned from the Kumuka family tour in Egypt. It was a spectacular journey in every way possible but particularly because we had such a fine guide--Micheal Abdalla El Gandy. Although he is quite young, he had all of the skills of an experienced tour guide. He made our holiday fun and effortless on our part. Michael anticipated everything we might need and provided it.

He genuinely seemed to enjoy everyone in the group--especially my two grandchildren who are 11 and 9 years old. They adored Michael and we all cried when we had to say goodbye to Michael and to Egypt.

Introduction: Our exciting Egypt family adventure begins in the lively city of Cairo, and takes us to Aswan, Luxor, and the Red Sea town of Hurghada. We ride camels & donkeys, sail on feluccas and cruise boats and ride in a horse drawn carriage. In Cairo we explore the Pyramids and Sphinx, and then visit the Egyptian Museum packed full of ancient treasures and Royal Mummies, before exploring the old bazaar. We take the overnight train south to Aswan where the Temple of Philae, High Dam and sunset felucca cruise awaits. Next our Nile cruise boat transports us down the Nile to Luxor, where we include the Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple, and go by donkey to the famous Valley of the Kings with its ancient tombs. The last few days of our tour are spent relaxing at Hurghada on the Red Sea. Here we take a boat trip to snorkel, and have free time at the beach, before returning to Cairo where our family adventure ends.

Child price is only applicable for children under 12 sharing a room with TWO adults, with a maximum of one child per room. If children are in a separate room, then the adult price applies, or if 1 child is sharing with only 1 adult, then the adult price applies. This means that for a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children under 12, the children will be in a separate room and will have to pay adult price. Also a maximum of 2 children per family group is allowed at the discounted child rate.

Please note that the cruise may run in reverse from Luxor to Aswan - itineray will be amended accordingly.
