Book ‘darkest Peru’ and save a
Paddington bear
To mark the 50th anniversary of Paddington Bear’s arrival ‘from
darkest Peru’, adventure travel specialist Kumuka Worldwide is
donating £50 to a spectacled bear conservation programme
for every family holiday to Peru booked this summer.
Kumuka’s
10-day ‘Incas,
Alpacas and Lake Titicaca’ holiday includes horse-back
riding, a picnic with alpacas and a family homestay on an island in
the middle of Lake Titicaca – as well as memorable sightseeing
in Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. The trip is suitable for
families with children as young as six.
The increasingly rare spectacled bear is not on the
itinerary – which is why Kumuka is donating £50 for every
‘Incas, Alpacas and Lake Titicaca’ family booking made between
1 June and 31 August for travel in 2008. The company is supporting the
work of Peru’s Chaparri Ecological Reserve which protects and
rescues spectacled bears.
The Peru trip departs on 13 or 27 July, 10 or 24 August and costs includes
nine nights’ accommodation, most meals, a full sightseeing programme
in the company of local guides and all internal travel by air, rail,
boat and coach. Flights to Peru are not included.
